Who: All pharmacy staff and students from the Midland-Bay-Saginaw area are invited. This program is accredited only for pharmacist CE credit.

What: We will be reviewing 4 articles exploring the latest findings on drug therapy in GI diseases.

After attending this program, the participant should be able to:

  • Estimate the GI bleed risk of a hospitalized non-ICU patient and weigh that risk against the risk and benefit of stress ulcer prophylaxis
  • Defend the practice of aggressive Hep C treatment on the basis reduced hepatocellular carcinoma risk
  • Compare the efficacy of fecal transfer plus vancomycin to vancomycin alone in recurrent Cdiff diarrhea
  • Evaluate the efficacy of doxylamine plus pyridoxine for nausea and vomiting in pregnancy
