Literature Behind FDA Alerts
Who: All pharmacy staff and students from the Midland-Bay-Saginaw area are invited. This program is accredited only for pharmacist CE credit.
What: We will be reviewing 4 articles exploring the new FDA alerts and how they affect the pharmacy profession.

After attending this program, the participant should be able to:
- Explain the potential risks and benefits of using 80mg Simvastatin VS 20mg Simvastatin.
- Anticipate the difference in magnitude of potential daily dose APAP use over 4 grams if all combination products were reformulated to a max of 325 mg per dose.
- Quantify the risk of rhabdomyolysis associated with statin and fibric acid combination therapy compared to statin monotherapy.
- Describe the potential risk for developing C. Diff while on a PPI.

This first-time offering of the program in its entirety has been approved for 1 hour of live continuing education credit (0.1 CEUs) in states that recognize ACPE approved providers. To receive credit for the program, the participant must complete a quiz and fill out and submit a Continuing Education Credit Request Form and an Evaluation Form at the conclusion of the program. Statements of Credit will be e-mailed to participants 4 – 6 weeks following the program.
